A pair of Art Deco bronze "fashion" figures, c 1930,
designed by Lorenzl,
the young women in period outfits,
silvered with cold-painted blue. pink and gold highlights,
standing on an green onyx bases,

These lovely minature art deco bronzes have wonderful styling
and are typically "Lorenzl"!
I have previously had the figure on the left with the signature
"Renzl".
They are in great condition with only the expected wear to the
cold-painted metallic bronze finish.
Joseph Lorenzl, Austrian 1892-1950.
Probably now one of the best known of the Art Deco period
sculptors, working in spelter, bronze and ceramic.
Lorenzl is famous for his depiction of the slim boyish shape,
so desired in the 1920's, sculpting a wide range of figures
in dancing or coquettish poses. He also designed for the famous firms of
Goldscheider, Hutschenreuther and Keramos.
