Austrian bronze figure by Lorenzl,

with a silvered cold-painted finish,
mounted on a cream onyx base-

This lovely bronze has wonderful styling
to her hair and typical Lorenzl features,
and is in great condition with only slight wear to the finish (mainly on her hair).

Joseph Lorenzl, Austrian 1892-1950.
Probably now one of the best known of the Art Deco period
sculptors,
Lorenzl is famous for his depiction of the slim boyish shape,
so desired in the 1920's, sculpting a wide range of figures
in dancing or coquettish poses.
He also designed for the famous firms of Goldscheider,
Hutschenreuther and Keramos.
