A stunning rare art nouveau lamp, circa 1900, France
featuring a classically influenced semi-naked maiden holding two flower heads,
standing on a triform base decorated with three different Satyr heads and leaves,
the spelter (with bronze flower heads) cold-painted muted pale gold.
51cm (20inches) high
Slight wear to the finish.
This is a lovely lamp and unusual with it's references to Greek mythology and a model I have never seen before.
The bulbs are exposed as electricty was still a "novelty" at the turn of the last century and something to be shown you could afford to have!
*The lamp could easily have glass shades fitted.
