An very large and stunning Art Deco
Austrian bronze figure by Lorenzl,
circa 1930,
depicting a dancing female nude,
with a pale gold cold-painted finish,
mounted on a substantial onyx plinth-
55cm / 22in high
signed Lorenzl in the bronze socle.
This stunning bronze has wonderful styling and one of largest
bronze sculptures that Lorenzl designed.
The cold-painting is in good condition with very slight wear to
the metallic finish and some chipping to the onyx base.

Probably now one of the best known of the Art Deco period
sculptors, Lorenzl is famous for his depiction of the slim boyish shape,
so desired in the 1920's, sculpting a wide range of bronze, spelter and
ceramic figures in dancing or coquettish poses. He designed for the
famous firms of Goldscheider, Hutschenreuther and Keramos
