A stylish Art Deco
Austrian bronze figure by Lorenzl,
circa 1930, this model edited by Goldscheider-
depicting a high kicking naked dancer,
with a gold cold-painted finish,
mounted on a green onyx base-
25.5cm high
bronze base marked Lorenzl and echt (real) bronze
This lovely bronze has wonderful styling
to her hair and typical Lorenzl features,
and is in great condition with only slight wear to the finish.
Another example of this figure can be seen on the section on
Lorenzl in Brain Catley's book "Art Deco and other Figures".

Probably now one of the best known of the Art Deco period
sculptors, Lorenzl is famous for his depiction of the slim boyish shape,
so desired in the 1920's, sculpting a wide range of figures
in dancing or coquettish poses, working in bronze, spelter and ceramic.
