A superb and stylish Art Deco
Austrian bronze figure by Lorenzl
circa 1930,
of a female dancer, striking a pose,
teasingly removing her bow sash
the bronze cold-painted gold, silver green and brown
mounted on an oval black marbel base-
10in/25cm high
bronze marked Lorenzl

This is a stunning Lorenzl figure, with excellent proportions and style.
A model I've never seen before
She is in lovely condition

Joseph Lorenzl, Austrian 1892-1950.
Probably now one of the best known of the Art Deco period
sculptors,
Lorenzl is famous for his depiction of the slim boyish shape,
so desired in the 1920's, sculpting a wide range of figures
in dancing or coquettish poses.

He also designed for the famous firms of Goldscheider,
Hutschenreuther and Keramos.
