spelter and ivorine figures, c1930, Germany,
the male and female art deco dancers dressed in "futuristic" art deco ballet costumes,
cold-painted green, mounted on a striated black granite bases with applied metal spheres-

slight nicks to the marble and wear to the spelter finish
These lovely art deco spelter and ivorine figures have wonderful styling and were
made for those who wanted to look of bronze and ivory but didn't have the depth
of pocket to buy them.
Germany seemed to specialise in these art deco figures.
