spelter figure lamp by Pierre le Faguays (Fayral),
"Farandole"
circa 1930, edited by Max Le Verrier, Paris-
the semi-naked woman with a patinated finish, mounted on a rectangular pink marble plinth-
47cm high
Signed Fayral  and Max le Verrier in the metal with very slight wear to finish.

This is a stunning Fayral lamp with exceptional styling and the usual bronze quality casting by Max Le Verrier.

Pierre le Faguays
Born in Nantes; pupil of Vibert. He attracted the attention of the public at his first exhibition due to the originality he gave his dancing subjects which were inspired by the statues of Tangara.
He was a member of the salon of La Stele and Evolution groups.
Received a medal of honour in 1927.
