by D H Chiparus, France, c1925,
the very stylish lady reclining her drapes forming a very strong art deco
design, the terracotta with an antiqued green/bronze patina,
(displayed on a modern black laquer wood base)-

This is a fantastic art deco sculpture by probably the leading sculptor of
the time.D H Chiparus is renowned for his exotic bronze and ivories
depicting the "new woman" and the Ballet Russe that took Paris by storm
in the early part of the 20th century.
She really is pure 1920's "Hollywood star" with beautiful period
features and hair....stunning!
