entitled "Le Chardon" (the thistle)
featuring a patinated maiden, rising out of a thistle flowerhead,
holding two thistle stems,
the bulbs disguised by Czech beaded lamp covers
on a dark red marble base-

This is a wonderful lamp
Julian Causse being one of the periods most prolific
and eminent sculptors, in lovely original condition,
the glass beads (on a tangle of wire) casting a subtle glow.
