When he wrote Alternative London he was described as the Chaucer of the time. His love of the avant garde led him to an interest in drugs both from their cultural and scientific point of view. His bestselling 'Alternative London' in the 70s, became a bible for many seeking an alternative lifestyle at the time.

This is the original 1970 paperback, with its great "op art" cover.
There are no pages torn or missing and the only fault I could really mention is a corner crease on the back cover top left and some slight scuffing. Not bad for a paperback of this age and rarity.
